They Don't Make Them Like This Anymore...

No one can deny that "Audrey 2" from 1986's Little Shop of Horrors has to be some of the best animatronics ever perfomed on film.

The fluid mechanical movement done on such a large scale is pure art. Presumably when Audrey 2 was at his largest, they slowed the filming speed down to get the right effect movement wise.

I always wondered how noisy he was to operate on set.

If you havent seen the "everybody dies" ending yet, you're in for a hell of a treat...

  1. Wow, thanks a million for this. I missed the boat on that accidentally leaked DVD with the unfinished ending on it. A friend had it, but sold it on ebay much to my dismay.

  2. It nearly chokes me up to think how epic this film could have been if they kept this ending. If I saw this as a kid, I would have been back in the theater every weekend to see it again.

  3. Hopefully this ending will be restored and released in a future edition should one ever surface.
